Face Masks for Every Skin Type




1. Dry Skin: 
Avocado & Honey Face Mask
Ingredients
2 tablespoons of avocado flesh
2 tablespoons honey
1 egg yolk
Directions: To form this anti aging skin care face mask which also has a lightening effect, put all the ingredients in a blender, or mash by hand in a bowl. Use your fingers to spread the mask over your face and neck and leave it on for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer, before removing.

Avocado, yogurt and honey Face Mask 
Ingredients 
1 teaspoon mashed avocado
1 teaspoon plain whole milk yogurt
1 teaspoon raw honey
Directions: Mix ingredients in a small bowl until smooth. Spread the mixture over your face and let it sit for 20-30 minutes before washing it off. The fats in the avocado and whole milk yogurt are deeply moisturizing to the skin, while the lactic acid in the yogurt smooths your skin, refines pores, and stimulates collagen production.

Honey and Egg Mask
Ingredients
1 tablespoon honey
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon almond oil
1 tablespoon yogurt
Directions: Put all ingredients into a large bowl and stir until it becomes sticky and thick. Apply the mask to your face for 5 minutes and wash face thoroughly with a mild facial soap. Honey stimulates and smoothes, egg and almond oil penetrate and moisturize, and yogurt refines and tightens pores. The egg yolk also helps to lighten up the skin.

2. Tired Skin: 
Almond Yogurt Honey Mask
Ingredients
6oz plain yoghurt
¼oz finely-crushed almonds
2tsp honey
2tsp wheatgerm oil 
Directions: Mix all the ingredients into a smooth paste. Apply and massage the mixture into skin. Keep the mask on for 20 minutes.

3. Acne-Prone Skin:
Honey and cinnamon Mask 
Ingredients
3 teaspoons raw honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions: Mix honey and cinnamon together, and apply to your face. Leave the mask on for 10-30 minutes. The antibacterial properties of both honey and cinnamon are especially beneficial for acne-prone skin. (Cinnamon can occasionally be irritating if your skin is really sensitive, so you might want to do a patch test on the back of your hand first).

4. Normal Skin: 
Apple and Honey Mask
Ingredients
1 Apple, cored & quartered
2 Tablespoons Honey
Directions: Drop the apple pieces into a food processor and chop. Add honey and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Pat the mixture onto your face with a light tapping motion, tapping until the honey feels tacky. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse.

5. Sensitive Skin
Banana and Honey Mask
Ingredients
1/2 mashed banana 
1/4 cup oatmeal, cooked with milk 
1 egg 
1/2 tablespoon honey 
Directions: Mix ingredients together. Massage onto face in a slow, circular motion and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with tepid water. Oatmeal is high in nourishing vitamins and minerals; it gently cleanses and heals skin. Bananas contain vitamin A; eggs contain lecithin, a natural skin emollient; and honey helps to maintain the skin's natural acid mantle.

Honey and Aloe Vera Mask  
Ingredients
2 teaspoons raw honey
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
Directions
Stir the aloe and honey together and apply over your face. Leave it on for about 10-20 minutes. Aloe soothes inflammation and calms your skin, perfect for those with sensitive, irritated skin.

6. Scars  Dark Spots 
Honey and lemon Mask 
Ingredients 
2 teaspoons raw honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions
Combine the lemon juice and honey, and apply the mixture to your face. Allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes. Lemon juice exfoliates your skin, brightens dark spots and fades scars. Your skin will feel smooth and soft right away, but it may take a few applications to notice a real difference in scars and spots.



7. Oily Skin
Honey and papaya Mask 
Ingredients
1/3-cup cocoa
three teaspoons of heavy cream
1/3-cup ripe papaya
1/4-cup honey and three teaspoons of oatmeal powder
Directions: Mix and apply on your face. After 10 minutes, wash your face with warm water. This anti aging skin care fask mask helps heal skin blemishes, nourishes, draws out impurities, balances your skin pH, and will leave your skin radiant and soft. Good for acne-prone skin.

Carrot Face Mask
Ingredients
2-3 carrots 
4 1/2 table spoons of honey 
Instructions: Cook the carrots and then mash them up. Mix the carrots with honey and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Apply gently to the skin and wait for ten minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Carrots are known to be rich in vitamin A and C. They are also rich in potassium. Vitamin A and C are antioxidants. Honey contains sugar, enzymes, minerals, vitamins and amino acids.

8. All Skin Types
Honey and Lavender Facial Mask

Ingredients
1 tablespoon raw honey 

3 drops lavender essential oil 

Directions: Mix the ingredients, dampen your face with warm water, and smooth on the honey and lavender mixture. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes. Then rinse off with warm 

Berry and yogurt Mask
Ingredients
2 tbsp. yogurt 
2 tbsp. lemon juice
¼ cup of mixed berries
1 tbsp. honey 
Directions
Fight radicals with the fresh berries in this mask to keep your skin glowing and smooth. To make this mask, combine  yogurt with lemon juice in a blender. Then add berries, pureeing the mixture until smooth, and honey. Then, let the mask dry on your face for 10-15 minutes.

Orange Mask
Ingredients
1 Orange
2 tsp. dried orange peel
2 tbsp. of honey
3 tbsp. of plain yogurt
½ cup steel-cut oatmeal
Directions: The zinc and antioxidants of the freshly squeezed orange juice in this mask will keep your skin looking fresh and young. Combine juice from orange, dried orange peel,honey, yogurt (greek yogurt is great for this), and oatmeal. Mix the ingredients and spread the mixture onto your freshly washed, dry face. Leave on for 15-30 minutes.

Coffee Mask
Ingredients
2 tbsp. of freshly ground coffee
2 tbsp. of cocoa powder
3 tbsp. of whole milk or yogurt
1 tbsp. of honey
Directions: Combine ground coffee, cocoa powder,milk or yogurt, and honey. Allow the mask to dry for 15-20 minutes.

Kiwi Mask
Ingredients
2 pureed kiwis 
3 tbsp. yogurt
1 tbsp. orange juice
1 tbsp. almond or olive oil 
Directions: Mix together pureed kiwis with yogurt, orange juice, and almond or olive oil until well blended and apply to the entire face.

Papaya Mask
Ingredients
½ cup papaya
1 tsp. yogurt 
1 tsp. honey 
Directions: Blend papaya, yogurt and honey in a food processor until smooth. Apply the mask to clean skin, and leave it on for 8-10 minuets.

Avocado Mask
Ingredients
1 Avocado
½ finely grated cucumber
1 tsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. green clay powder 
Directions: Mix avocado, cucumber,  lemon juice , and green clay powder. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, then cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Apply a thick layer of the mixture to clean, dry skin for 10-15 minutes.

Pineapple Mask
Ingredients
½ cup  pineapple 
¼ cup cold-pressed olive oil until almost smooth
 ¼ cup of fresh parsley
Directions: Pulse pineapple chunks in a blender, then add olive oil until almost smooth. Next, add parsley, and blend the mixture carefully so the mask doesn't liquefy. Apply to face and leave on for 15 minutes.

Citrus Scrub
Ingredients
1 tbsp. dried citrus peel
½ cup plain yogurt
1 tsp. pure honey
¼ cup vitamin E oil
2 tbsp. cornmeal.
Directions: Mix citrus, yogurt, honey, vitamin E oil and cornmeal. Massage it onto a damp face, and rinse well with warm water.
